Profanity Violence Sexual Content
The term ass is thrown around some in the stories and now I know this isn't a big issue and may have been used in a different text but I know some people will be caught off guard. The stories are a war story of sorts. There is a lot of killing and battling in this series. No sexual content whatsoever.
Characterization Plot Overall Rating
Tolkien loves characters and loves to describe each and every character with his or her own in depth story. Great adventurous story that brings you to highs and takes you through lows but always leaves you hanging on for hope.
