Characterization Plot Overall Rating
Characters are well-rounded and believable You don't know what is coming next. Very enjoyable. This is one of the best espionage thrillers in years. Excellent work
Jack Higgins has a well-developed writing and story-telling style. It starts off quickly and maintains an excellent pace throughout. The characters are adequate, but not exceptionally vivid. Higgins is one of the best in the thriller genre.
