I really had a hard time finishing this book. I expected to enjoy it much more. It was my simple stubbornness that forced me to finish the book. I was very interested in the Arthur legend and realized that I knew very little of it. I was surprised that the Disney movie (The Sword in the Stone) is very true to the book, at least the first part. Much silliness intermixed with commentary. The remaining three parts were not nearly as entertaining. I am glad that I read this book and I must admit it has caused me to think then and since, but it was not a fun book to read. |
