Nice, clean fantasy. Nothing fantastic, but a satisfying story that kept me coming back for more (I've read all 4 books in the series). Some of the non-human races in this world are quite original, and his dwarf and elf societies are nicely different from others I've read about. This first book has more black-and-white delineation between the Heroes and Villains, which will become more complex later in the series. |
