This book is deceptively clean at the beginning because it is telling the story of a child and is in a child's world. When Stony becomes an adult the F bomb is almost the most frequently used word. The book is also at tim s so dark it's depressing. Having said this, the concept of the book is intriguing and written fairly well. While reading Stony's story I could actually imagine the politics of his world unraveling the way the author told. Overall if you can stand a lot of profanity this book is a decent read. |
