Synopsis: | In 1960, Agnes Ventimiglia believes, after a whirlwind courtship, that a proposal of marriage is imminent. Instead, she is killed. Thirty years later, Father Robert Koesler is forced to look into the unsolved case, and, in doing so, he must look into the secrets of his own family. The situation is precipitated by a real estate magnate on his deathbed, who urges Father Koesler to stop an affair between his son and Koesler's foster cousin. The affair could mean scandal for both the Church and the real estate company, but solving that problem will only send Father Koesler on a further twisting path that will intersect with that of Agnes Ventimiglia. |
